More chocolate, please!

With the syntax chocolate exercise well behind us, I’ve heard muttered calls for more chocolate (or at least cake!) in lectures. Any ideas on how we can integrate more chocolate into our teaching?



  1. Well, I’m glad you’ve raised this as an issue Jeanette. I am as fond of potato morphology and gruel phonology as the next person, but chocolate syntax is the kind of linguistics-food combo that does it for me. That said, was the syntax chocolate exercise only on the curriculum for level 2 and level 3 students? I seem to have missed it otherwise.
