Brain imaging the neurons that control speech – News of recent advances

by Craig Evans

Here’s a link to a recent article for anyone interested in Neurolinguistics (thanks Dan Chapman for bringing it to my attention). It is from New Scientist: Conductor of speech uncovered in the brain

According to Gregory Iverson, ‘a linguist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’, the study described in the article ‘may help answer questions such as how brain injuries can cause speech loss, or even why some people learn languages more easily than others’.

Fascinating stuff.
