Interested in word-games? Why not compete in new quiz show?

by Jeanette Sakel

We’ve been contacted by a casting agency looking for students interested in competing in a  BBC pilot for a new quiz show – in which teams of two compete in word games. These are testing each team’s ability to problem solve. For example, one round will ask you to form a new word, using the end of a word provided to you. E.g The word simple could be turned into implementation.

It would be great if UWE students would be represented there! So if you are interested, please get in touch with Coral – or come to have an informal chat with me if you’re unsure.

This is what it’s about:

Wanted – Contestants for new TV Game show pilot

Word Lovers and Scrabble players to take part in a TV pilot for a new word game show.

Do you love word games and have basic keyboard skills?      If so perhaps you’d enjoy being a contestant.

We’re looking for pairs of wordsmiths to compete together.

The show is being hosted by Sue Perkins.

We’re filming in Cardiff on 18th and 19th October.

Travel, accommodation and a small fee will be paid.
