When you’re writing an essay or assignment, don’t think of your tutor as the reader. Instead, imagine that your reader is a younger sibling (say, an intelligent 15-year-old) or someone who knows nothing about your subject (like me!). This will help you to write clearly, and to demonstrate your understanding of the topic.
For a confidential one-to-one session with me to work on your writing skills, email Harriet.Castor@uwe.ac.uk.
I’m at Frenchay on Wednesdays and St Matthias on Thursdays.
